New Vegas will play a prominent role in Fallout Season 2, which premieres December 17 on Prime Video and will release episodes weekly. Todd Howard invited Obsidian Entertainment to visit the New Vegas set and praised Obsidian for an impressive year. Obsidian released Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2 in 2025. Obsidian originally created Fallout: New Vegas between Bethesda Game Studios' Fallout 3 and 4. Rumors of a New Vegas sequel have been denied, with John Gonzalez not working on New Vegas 2 and Tim Cain offering no hints. Fallout 5 is confirmed and a 15th‑anniversary New Vegas bundle is planned next year.
