Fate of the Old Republic is a newly announced single-player Star Wars action RPG set in the same era as Knights of the Old Republic and The Old Republic MMO. The game is presented as a spiritual successor to those titles and promises many player choices rather than turn-based combat, with options to play morally good or bad. Casey Hudson, director of the original KOTOR and former Mass Effect lead, is involved alongside Lucasfilm and Arcanaut Studios. The game debuted at The Game Awards 2025. Few story or setting details have been revealed; the trailer shows new characters, and the game will feature an original story, locations, and characters.
