On this menu, scroll to the very bottom to find a setting called "Claptrap?" You can adjust Claptrap's volume to make him more tolerable, or you can reduce it to zero to shut him up entirely."
Claptrap remains a recurring presence in Borderlands 4 but appears less frequently than in some earlier titles. Gearbox added a dedicated audio slider labeled "Claptrap?" in the Advanced Audio options to allow independent volume control for Claptrap's voice. Players can pause the game, go to Options > Audio > Advanced, and find the slider at the bottom to reduce the volume or set it to zero. Subtitles for Claptrap remain available so players can read his lines even when muted. Muting preserves collectible and quest text clarity while removing vocal output.
