Universal Studios' Epic Universe has opened, offering five themed destinations including Harry Potter and How to Train Your Dragon. The Super Nintendo World in Orlando is notable for its Donkey Kong Country area, unique to North America. This expansion brilliantly captures the essence of the beloved game series, complete with DK's iconic visuals and musical pieces. However, it lacks elements from the Tropical Freeze game, which disappointed some fans. Overall, the new park promises a vibrant experience for guests, especially fans of Nintendo franchises.
Entering Super Nintendo World feels like stepping into a Mario game, and the same rings true when crossing the threshold to DK's domain. If you love Donkey Kong Country as much as I do, the park is a joy to see as it nails the series' aesthetic.
The only downside is the lack of Tropical Freeze love; I didn't see a single snowflake. I cannot abide such erasure.
This fourth park offers five new themed destinations such as Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon: Trial of Berk, and Dark Universe, themed after Universal classic monster flicks.
This is the third iteration of Nintendo's Mario-focused theme park and only the second in the US, following the parks in Osaka and Los Angeles.
