Bungie recently announced the launch of the Year of Prophecy for Destiny, starting July 15 with The Edge of Fate expansion. Key changes include the incorporation of Star Wars content into the Destiny canon, with the events from the Renegades DLC officially recognized as part of Destiny's storyline. Additionally, Power levels will be rebased and Vault space expanded, improving player experience. A new feature called the Portal aims to streamline activity selection for diverse playstyles, making gameplay navigation more intuitive and engaging for all users.
Rest assured, Guardians, everything in Renegades is in-canon for the Destiny universe. But we're leaning into the aesthetic, tone and vibe of Star Wars to tell a Destiny story with Destiny characters.
We'll have more details on Power caps and climbs in a future TWID, but can confirm that Power will be rebased at launch! All players will have their Power refreshed as we embark on this new journey.
The Portal, a new activity selection screen built to accommodate different playstyles, is proposed to clean up the Director and improve activity browsing for players.
Players will have additional Vault space and even quality of life features planned for Renegades later this year, enhancing their inventory management experience.
