However, Season 2 has contained several sneaky references to another Fallout game, and Season 3 is perfectly poised to replicate that game's biggest twist."

Season 2 drew clear inspiration from Fallout: New Vegas while embedding multiple Fallout 4 references such as the Starlight Drive-In Theater, a visitor from the Commonwealth, and the Vault-Tec salesman cameo. Fallout 4’s plot follows a Vault resident frozen with a young son who is later unfrozen, kidnapped, and eventually ages into an old man after decades. The Ghoul pursues reunion with his wife and daughter and finds a Colorado postcard hinting they may be in the Rocky Mountain State. Season 3 can diverge and potentially replicate Fallout 4’s twist by revealing Janey unexpectedly changed when found.
