Briefly

Capcom has announced impressive financial results for the eighth consecutive year, primarily due to the success of the game Monster Hunter Wilds which surpassed 10 million units in sales. The excitement generated by this title also positively impacted sales of prior installments in the franchise, affirming the strength of Capcom’s legacy IPs. The financial report revealed a 11.3% increase in net sales amounting to approximately 169.6 billion Yen ($1.14 billion) and a 15.2% increase in operating income, illustrating the company's ongoing strategy to capitalize on its established franchises.
As a result of both satisfying the strong expectations of fans and successful measures to build awareness through various events and other activities, worldwide sales surpassed 10 million units, which contributed to earnings.
Across many (if any) of its franchises, the company's determined strategy to make the most out of legacy IPs it owns appears to be paying dividends.
This quarter Capcom made 169.6 billion Yen ($1.14 billion / £870 million) in net sales, which translates to a roughly 11.3% increase from this time last year.
The excitement for Wilds pushed sales for prior titles in the series upward too, with games like Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and Monster Hunter Rise seeing respectable bumps in sales.
