Can anything top Clair Obscur for Game of the Year?
Briefly

The Summer Game Fest highlighted key video game releases for the latter half of the year, with particular focus on contenders for Game of the Year at The Game Awards. Despite the excitement, it didn't compensate for GTA 6's delay. Microsoft had notable announcements, including Ninja Gaiden 4 and Obsidian's The Outer Worlds 2, but Keeper, an emotionally driven action-adventure about a sentient lighthouse, emerged as a likely favorite for awards consideration. Review outcomes will ultimately determine its fate.
Keeper, however, looks like perfect bait for The Game Awards jury. It’s a wordless yet surprisingly emotive action-adventure about a sentient lighthouse and its bird companion.
Ninja Gaiden 4 is an all-out action game, a category that tends to struggle for GOTY nominations. A role-playing game like The Outer Worlds 2 has a much better shot.
