Battlefield 6's Season 2 Delay Adds More Challenges, Cosmetics, And Double XP To Season 1
"The Season 1 extension update to Battlefield 6 and Redsec will arrive on January 20, which is the day the season was originally supposed to conclude, but now players will have new weekly challenges, more time to finish the Season 1 battle pass, and a new Frostfire bonus path to complete. The free rewards from the Frostfire bonus path will include a hardware XP boost, a vehicle skin, and player-card customization items, while paid pass owners can grab a new weapon package, a career XP boost, and additional cosmetics."
"The Frostfire path can also be completed concurrently alongside the Season 1 battle pass. Unlike previous bonus paths, all points for the Frostfire bonus path are earned through new weekly challenges that will be provided. Battlefield 6 will introduce a new set of daily login rewards and several Double XP weekend events throughout this extended update period."
"Battlefield 6 had a strong start at launch and even outsold Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 in the US through November, but the post-launch content for Season 1 was met with mixed reviews. The third and final phase of content arrived just before the winter holidays, but the update added a host of issues that affected gameplay. This mishap also caused Battlefield 6's $1 million tournament series for Redsec to be postponed."
Season 2 for Battlefield 6 has been delayed and Season 1 will be extended with an update arriving January 20. The extension adds weekly challenges, more time to complete the Season 1 battle pass, and a new Frostfire bonus path offering free and paid rewards. Frostfire points are earned solely through the new weekly challenges and the path can be completed alongside the main battle pass. The update also introduces daily login rewards, several Double XP weekend events, and a Valentine's Day celebration. Post-launch Season 1 content faced mixed reviews and gameplay issues that postponed the Redsec $1 million tournament, and Battlefield Labs will be reinforced as a public preview.
