Battlefield 6 XP Farms Will Be Patched Out Soon, But Player Progression Will Be Dramatically Improved
""We completely understand the motivation behind this--like faster progression and a way to test setups without pressure--but it's led to some unintended side effects," Battlefield Studios wrote in a social media post. "With so many servers focused on farming XP rather than active play, it's become noticeably harder for players to create and find experiences to play with other people. Our goal moving forward here is to reinforce the player-driven experiences that bring people together, while still keeping room for custom setups, creativity, and new ideas.""
""In a future update, players can look forward to a big boost to experience points gained from match completion--increasing from 10% to 40%--and Battlefield Studios added that the XP needed to unlock attachment ranks will also be significantly reduced.""
""The studio explained that it's \"developing adjustments\" that will reduce the number of active XP farms, freeing up server space for players in the process.""
Match-completion XP will increase from 10% to 40% and XP requirements to unlock attachment ranks will be significantly reduced. Players have been joining bot-populated matches to farm XP quickly and improve stats against less challenging opponents. High numbers of XP-focused servers have made it harder for players to find human-led experiences and join active matches. Adjustments will be developed to reduce active XP farms and free server space for player-driven gameplay. Future updates will also tweak gameplay and the game's exceptionally bright lighting. Battlefield 6 has sold over seven million copies and reached a Steam peak above 747,000 concurrent players.
