Battlefield 6 streamlines some of the most annoying Challenges yet again, takes out a few of them entirely
"The updated list, which Battlefield shared on Twitter, includes changes to the dreaded Recon 2 headshots beyond 150m Challenge. Now, any headshot beyond 75m will count. Recon Expert 3 is another headshot-themed one that's been updated, and now requires getting headshot kills beyond 125m, rather than the practically impossible beyond 200m that it required previously. The Rapid Fire 2 Challenge, which required getting kills beyond 50m with Assault Rifles, has been changed so it now tracks anything beyond 40m."
"The painful 'Inflict damage under 15m while hip-firing with Assault Rifles' has been entirely replaced with one that requires - the far more sensible - inflicting damage while in ADS with Assault Rifles. A couple of Challenges, such as the one that required suppressing enemies with LMGs, and another that wanted you to deal damage to laser-designated vehicles using lock-on weapons, have both been removed."
Battlefield Studios adjusted multiple Battlefield 6 Challenges and Assignments to reduce grind and frustration. Several distance-based headshot requirements were lowered: Recon 2 now counts headshots beyond 75m and Recon Expert 3 requires headshot kills beyond 125m instead of 200m. Rapid Fire 2 now tracks Assault Rifle kills beyond 40m rather than 50m. A hip-fire damage Challenge under 15m was replaced with one requiring damage while in ADS. Two other Challenges were removed, including LMG suppression and dealing damage to laser-designated vehicles with lock-on weapons. These changes complement earlier XP boosts and requirement reductions aimed at improving progression.
