Battlefield 6 Season 2 delayed like many of us expected, but we're getting a new update and a bonus battle pass path
"Season 1 will now end on Tuesday, February 17, which is also when Season 2 will kick off. Given the current sentiment around the game, this news isn't surprising in the least. In the blog post announcing the delay, BF Studios said that the decision to extend the current season and push back the start of the next one allows for extra time to "further polish and refine" Season 2 content."
"What we are getting news of today, however, is the game's next patch. This extension update is going to arrive next week, on January 20, when Season 1 was supposed to end. It's bringing new weekly challenges to the game, but its biggest addition is yet another Bonus Path to the battle pass. You can also expect the free daily login rewards to continue, alongside other periods of double XP."
Season 1 of Battlefield 6 will now end on Tuesday, February 17, and Season 2 will begin that same day. The season extension provides extra time to further polish and refine Season 2 content. A brief teaser shows a gas-masked soldier emerging from an environment filled with toxic gas, suggesting a possible gas-based multiplayer element unlike Redsec’s ring-of-fire mechanic. A patch arriving January 20 will add new weekly challenges, continue free daily login rewards, offer double XP periods, and introduce a Frostfire Bonus Path. The Frostfire Bonus Path requires 110 Bonus Path Points total, with each tier costing 10 points.
