"One of the nice perks of EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (which includes EA Play) are 10-hour trials for new releases from EA. It's a good way to try a game before dropping money on buying it. But the free trials are not available for every EA game, including the just-launched Battlefield 6. The game launched today, October 10, and has no free trial, a spokesperson for EA confirmed to GameSpot."
"While there is no free EA Play trial, people who subscribe to EA Play Pro ($17/month) can get the $100 Phantom Edition of Battlefield 6 as part of their membership for as long as they are subscribed. Battlefield 6 put up big numbers today on Steam, exceeding 745,000 peak concurrent players, making it one of most-played games on the platform ever. This represents just a fraction of the game's total audience, though, as the game is also available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S."
EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate sometimes include 10-hour free trials for new EA releases, but those trials are selective and not guaranteed for every title. Battlefield 6 launched without a 10-hour EA Play trial despite prior series entries offering trials. EA Play Pro subscribers can access the $100 Phantom Edition for the duration of their subscription. Battlefield 6 recorded over 745,000 peak concurrent players on Steam at launch, with availability also on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Servers are managing the load with player queues to mitigate demand. Market analysts do not expect Battlefield 6 to outsell Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
