"According to SteamDB, just hours after its launched Battlefield 6 managed to hit a peak concurrent player count of 747,440. That absolutely crushes all the previous Battlefield titles on Steam, and its highly likely that the number will only grow over the weekend. This also means that Battlefield 3 currently ranks as the 3rd highest FPS on Steam, based upon peak concurrent players. It's only beaten out by PUBG and Counter Strike 2."
"As successful as the game seems to be so far, it hasn't launched without its fair share of problems. Chief among them is the massive queues to get into the game. I've seen screenshots of people with tens of thousands of folk ahead of them, right up to people being told they are something like 550,000 in the queue. Other complains are that the campaign is mediocre at best, which by this point feels less like a criticism and more like a Battlefield tradition."
Battlefield 6 reached a peak concurrent player count of 747,440 on Steam hours after launch. The peak surpasses all previous Battlefield titles on Steam and positions the game among the top FPS titles by concurrent players, with only PUBG and Counter-Strike 2 ahead. The launch performance outpaced Call of Duty by roughly 250,000 concurrent players despite Call of Duty aggregating multiple games. Players encountered massive server queues, with some reported queue positions near 550,000. Additional feedback cites a mediocre single-player campaign and routine bugs and glitches. Steam user reviews currently rate the game as Mostly Positive.
