"When your Villager goes to sleep, they can now choose the option "slumber time" to go to a new dream world introduced in the 3.0 update. Luna's Dream World lets you fully customize a brand-new island with items you've previously obtained in game. You can build up to three Slumber Islands and choose from three different island sizes. With Slumber Islands, you'll be able to exercise more creative freedom than ever before."

Animal Crossing: New Horizons 3.0 is a free update arriving January 15 that adds new activities, multiplayer options, and major collaborations with Lego, Splatoon, and The Legend of Zelda. When Villagers choose 'slumber time' they can enter Luna's Dream World and fully customize up to three Slumber Islands using owned items and three island sizes. Slumber Islands allow terrain editing such as removing cliffs, widening rivers, and placing inclines and bridges, and let players set time and weather independently. Friends can be invited or joined to customize islands together, with online play requiring a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. A new Resort Hotel also appears at the end of the pier.
