"The finale mission in the game is called "Sins of the Past on the Precipice of the Future." It takes place aboard a reconstructed Horizon Point Station, the very same place where you began the campaign dozens of hours prior. More rifts have erupted all over the Arcadia system, and it's up to you to save humanity's far-flung colony. The endings all follow a certain theme: Who gets to sacrifice themselves to end the threat of the rifts?"
The finale mission, "Sins of the Past on the Precipice of the Future," occurs aboard a reconstructed Horizon Point Station where the campaign began. Rifts have erupted across the Arcadia system, and the player must stop them by making a decisive sacrifice. Endings hinge on who sacrifices themselves: the player character, a companion, Augustine de Vries if she was spared, Consul Emory Thoreau if persuaded, or everyone. The encounter with the Consul aboard the Providence can branch based on dialogue and choices, including convincing him to sacrifice himself. Players should keep a backup save before entering the Consul's chamber. There is no New Game Plus.
