All Classes In Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 - Which Clan Should You Pick?
"What's the difference between clans? You can gain access to abilities from other clans buy spending Blood Resonance currency. Importantly, each clan serves as a class, giving you different passive and active abilities. Each clan has affinities with different types of powers, and unlocking new abilities for a specific clan unlocks more outfits as well. While the clan you choose will determine which abilities you get first, you will have the opportunity to unlock abilities from other clans later in the story."
"The Brujah specialize in hitting hard and hitting fast, putting an emphasis on winning fights head-on. This clan's passive ability grants a temporary damage boost upon feeding, letting you deal additional damage. The abilities learned later in the Brujah tree give you more options in open combat, along with several ways to take out multiple enemies at once. If you're looking to be in the thick of combat, Brujah is for you."
Seattle serves as the starting setting amid rising vampire tensions and a mystery to unravel. Clan selection functions as a class choice and determines initial passive and active abilities, with the chosen clan's passive remaining exclusive. Abilities from other clans can be unlocked later by spending Blood Resonance currency earned from city activities, then purchasing abilities with skill points. Lower affinity to a clan increases skill point costs, and affinity can be raised by completing quests for clan leaders. Unlocking abilities from a clan also grants additional outfit options tied to that clan.
