"Bamboo Strike activities tend to follow a strict mechanic: Each challenge requires you to press buttons in a sequence. The inputs not only have to be 100% correct, but they also need to be done swiftly. Doing so allows Atsu to slice through all the bamboo shoots. In some cases, parts of the shoot might get tossed around. You still need to press the button prompts to destroy them."
"The map above shows the Ghost of Yotei Bamboo Strike activities in the game's first region. The locations are quite far apart, though #1 is fairly close to where you start the campaign proper. Location: Found in a clearing that's hidden by bamboo branches that you have to cut down. A settler NPC scoffs at you when you arrive, but you can show him your true skill with the blade. Final sequence: Square, circle, square, L1, L1, square, circle."
Bamboo Strike activities require pressing specific button sequences quickly and accurately to slice bamboo shoots. Successful completion permanently increases maximum spirit pips, enabling more ability casts. Occasionally parts of shoots are tossed and still require prompts to destroy. Bamboo Strikes only affect maximum spirit pips and do not increase health; Hot Springs baths increase maximum health instead. Multiple Bamboo Strike spots appear across the first region, including Atsu's Home, a hidden clearing behind bamboo branches, and a northwestern riverside near the White Dye Vendor. Example final sequences include X, X, L1, X, X, L1, X and Triangle, triangle, L1, L1, triangle, triangle, circle.
