Exponent, founded in London in 2004 and now with offices in Dublin, has invested in more than 40 European businesses with enterprise values between €150m and €500m. Major transactions include the purchase of Chanelle Pharma and the 2016 acquisition of the Racing Post for £150m. Exponent appointed Sexton as an adviser to mentor portfolio-company leaders on individual and team performance. Sexton retired from rugby after the 2023 World Cup, worked at Ardagh Glass, coached on the Lions tour, and then took a full-time Irish Rugby Football Union coaching post from August 1. Jacqueline Flynn began leading Exponent’s Dublin office in 2023 after joining from Blackrock. By 2023 Exponent had made 12 Irish investments worth about €1bn, and in 2024 it bought Kingsbridge, Northern Ireland’s largest private hospital group, marking its first Northern Ireland investment.
