"AI native,"
"I think we're the only quote-unquote manufacturing company out there that has H200 clusters in a data center on site,"
"What are they doing? We're running real-time physics-based simulations and learning all the different aspects of the end to end manufacturing workflow."
Freeform raised $67 million in a Series B round from investors including Apandion, AE Ventures, Founders Fund, Linse Capital, NVentures, Threshold Ventures, and Two Sigma Ventures. The company will upgrade its GoldenEye system, which uses 18 lasers, to Skyfall, a platform designed to use hundreds of lasers to produce thousands of kilograms of metal parts per day. Founders Erik Palitsch and Thomas Ronacher built the company after developing rocket engines at SpaceX and designed the platform for higher throughput, flexibility, and active software controls. The AI-native platform uses on-site H200 GPU clusters, real-time physics simulations, and sensor data to improve production quality and quantity.
