Avrea raises $4.7M to fix CI/CD before AI coding breaks it

Avrea, a Helsinki startup, raised $4.7m in pre-seed funding to build a faster, AI-aware alternative to GitHub Actions for teams generating code faster than build systems can deliver. The continuous-integration platform integrates alongside existing GitHub Actions workflows using a one-line migration. Builds run on high-clock-speed CPUs dedicated to CI work rather than shared infrastructure. An AI agent identifies slow build steps, flaky tests, and outdated tooling. Avrea claims pipelines run two to three times faster and reduce infrastructure costs by up to 80%. A public benchmark using the open-source terminal Ghostty reported builds completing 27 times faster than GitHub Actions, with most gains from caching.
