The European Exploration Company made significant progress with its 'Mission Possible' orbital spacecraft during a test flight that included successful launch, orbital stabilization, and reentry. However, complications arose when the capsule lost contact shortly before ocean touchdown. While the company deemed the flight a partial success, investigations are ongoing to understand the parachute deployment issues that could have contributed to the loss of contact, although communication was reestablished during reentry. This vehicle is intended for future cargo and human missions.
The capsule was launched successfully, powered the payloads nominally in-orbit, stabilized itself after separation with the launcher, re-entered and re-established communication after blackout.
Given when the spacecraft was lost, it seems most likely that there was a problem with deployment of the drogue or main parachutes.
