Following the closure of Shakespeare & Co. on the Upper West Side, The Strand Book Store will take over the location at 2020 Broadway. The new 2,500-square-foot store is set to open in early July after renovations. The Strand aims to maintain the legacy of Shakespeare & Co., retaining its staff and offering a diverse selection of new, used, and rare books, among other features and programming for the community.
