Maniac randomly shoves two strangers - including 83-year-old - onto NYC subway tracks

"A maniac randomly shoved two straphangers - including an 83-year-old man - onto Upper East Side subway tracks just before noon Sunday, cops and law-enforcement sources said. The elderly victim and a 31-year-old man were separately waiting for a train at the Lexington Avenue-63rd Street station in Manhattan around 11:40 a.m. when the fiend came up from behind and thrust the two onto the rails below."

"Good Samaritans quickly swooped in and saved the duo before the next train entered the station, cops said. The two victims did not know each other, and no train was entering the station at the time, according to authorities. EMS arrived at the scene and took the two men to Cornell Hospital, where they're in stable condition, according to authorities."

"The suspect then ran off, leaving the two men stranded on the tracks, cops said. The shover is still on the lam. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, red hat, tan pants and green shoes, police said."

At approximately 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, two unacquainted men were pushed onto the tracks at the Lexington Avenue-63rd Street subway station on the Upper East Side. The victims included an 83-year-old man and a 31-year-old man. The suspect approached from behind and shoved both men onto the rails in what appeared to be an unprovoked attack. The suspect then fled the scene. Good Samaritans intervened and helped both men off the tracks before an incoming train arrived. Emergency Medical Services transported both victims to Cornell Hospital, where they were treated and remain in stable condition. The suspect remains at large and was last observed wearing a gray jacket, red hat, tan pants, and green shoes.
