Kanye West claims he's 'done with antisemitism' - weeks after releasing song praising Hitler
Briefly

Kanye West, now known as Ye, claimed to have ended his antisemitic rhetoric just hours after the shooting of two Israeli Embassy staff outside the Capital Jewish Museum. He expressed remorse on social media, citing a desire for forgiveness and a moment of reflection with his children. However, the Anti-Defamation League dismissed his apology, citing a history of similar retractions and the lasting impact of his previous comments, including praising Hitler and propagating harmful stereotypes about Jewish people. This follows years of escalating antisemitic remarks and significant backlash.
"I am done with antisemitism," wrote Ye, just two weeks after sparking disgust with a song called 'Heil Hitler' and selling swastika T-shirts.
The Anti-Defamation League said it wasn't 'buying' West's apology. 'We've seen this kind of attempted apology from Kanye before, only for him to back down over and over again.'
Ye did not directly link his apparent change of heart to the horror at the cold-blooded slayings of Yaron Lischinsky, 28, and Sarah Milgrim, 26.
Since 2022, West, who now goes by Ye, has made scores of antisemitic remarks - triggering global backlash and the loss of major business partnerships.
