The Wyoming Supreme Court struck down two laws banning abortion, including a 2023 law targeting abortion medication, in a 4-1 decision. The court found the laws violated a 2012 state constitutional amendment that affirms residents' rights to make their own health care decisions. The general ban had criminal penalties and limited exceptions; a county judge previously also struck down the laws citing harms to health, well-being, and livelihoods.
