"Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story. The Independent is trusted by Americans"
"The Bank of England (BoE) announced on Thursday its decision to cut interest rates to 3.75 per cent, a fourth cut of the year. For December's vote, the bank's nine-person Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) showed just a slight swing compared to last time out pre-Budget in November; a 5-4 split then favouring a hold became a 5-4 split in favour of cutting this time, with governor Andrew Bailey a key switcher."
The Independent seeks donations to fund reporters covering reproductive rights, climate change and Big Tech and to produce documentaries like 'The A Word' about American women fighting for reproductive rights. The organisation investigates matters such as Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC and focuses on parsing facts from messaging. The Independent keeps reporting paywall-free and asks supporters who can afford it to help fund journalism. The Bank of England cut interest rates to 3.75 percent, a fourth cut this year, after a 5-4 MPC vote with governor Andrew Bailey switching. Falling inflation, weak economic figures and rising unemployment influenced the decision. Lower base rates generally reduce mortgage interest repayments.
