"Authorities have recovered the gun used by the suspect in the assassination of Charlie Kirk, but are still engaged in an active manhunt for the shooter. FBI Salt Lake City Special Agent-In-Charge Robert Bohls said they recovered a high-powered, bolt-action rifle in a wooded area where Kirk's killer is believed to have fled. In addition, Bohls confirmed that they have images of the assassin, and investigators are analyzing video of the gunman's movements, as well as palm and footprints found near the weapon."
"We do have good video footage of this individual, Utah Department of Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason said. We are not going to release that at this time. He said the gunman appears to be of college-age. Authorities believe that after firing the fatal shot, the killer jumped from his perch on a roof about 200 yards away from where Kirk was speaking. We are exhausting every lead, Bohls said."
