Stone has served on council since 2020 and was mayor in 2024; Stone and Reckdahl recently proposed an ordinance targeting compounds of homes assembled by wealthy residents. Reckdahl previously served on the Planning and Transportation Commission and the Parks and Rec Commission. Veenker expressed being honored, thanked family, council members, city staff and residents, and prioritized growing accessible housing stock, leading climate action initiatives and updating the Cubberley Community Center for 2026. Veenker joined council in 2022, chairs the Policy and Services Committee and the Climate Action and Sustainability Ad Hoc Committee, has lived in Palo Alto since 1992, and founded Veenker Law Offices after earning a law degree from Georgetown.
