Alan Dershowitz advised that the Constitution is not explicit about whether a president can serve a third term and is writing a book on the issue. Dershowitz added that he does not expect Trump to pursue a third term. Chief of staff Susie Wiles dismissed claims that Trump would defy the 22nd Amendment and said he is enjoying provoking critics. House Speaker Mike Johnson said he does not see a viable 2028 path. Trump has expressed seriousness about a future run and sold "Trump 2028" merchandise.
