""During this primitive stage, it is our duty to treat AI as we would our own children - empowering, but with watchful guidance," she said in a statement. "We are living in a moment of wonder, and it is our responsibility to prepare America's children.""
President Donald Trump will host a White House Rose Garden dinner with leading technology and artificial intelligence executives. Guests include Bill Gates, Tim Cook, Mark Zuckerberg, Sergey Brin, Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, Sam Altman, Greg Brockman, Safra Catz, David Limp, Sanjay Mehrotra and other senior executives. Elon Musk is absent despite previously being a close ally and being tasked to run the Department of Government Efficiency; Musk and Trump had a public split earlier this year. The dinner follows a meeting of the new AI Education task force chaired by First Lady Melania Trump. The Rose Garden lawn was paved and outfitted with tables, chairs and umbrellas resembling Mar-a-Lago.
