He urged Republican senators to terminate the filibuster so the GOP can retain power. Trump said that if Republicans followed his advice, Democrats would likely never obtain power. He recounted a meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in which a deputy did not answer him and described wanting his cabinet to sit and respond with similar discipline. Trump then joked that Vice President JD Vance does not behave that way and teased him for interrupting conversations.
