White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was called out by CNN correspondent Kaitlan Collins as she left a briefing amid reporters' complaints. A group of Democratic military veterans posted a video addressing service members and intelligence officers, urging them that they can and must refuse illegal orders and reminding them of their oath to protect the Constitution. Participating lawmakers included Sens. Mark Kelly and Elissa Slotkin and Reps. Jason Crow, Chris Deluzio, Maggie Goodlander, and Chrissy Houlahan. President Donald Trump reacted on social media, writing "SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!" and reposting another calling for the group to be hanged.
