Donald Trump accused the BBC of defrauding the public and said he feels obliged to pursue legal action over an edited January 6 speech. He claimed the original speech was calming but was edited to sound radical, called the editing dishonest, and noted the resignation of the BBC director-general and other staff. Reform UK reportedly withdrew from a BBC documentary made by the production firm linked to the Panorama edit. An internal Reform email described the Panorama edit as "disinformation" while also stating that October Films had conducted themselves professionally and advising members to decline participation.
