Under the settlement, Alphabet admits no wrongdoing and the parties agreed to dismiss the case."
Alphabet agreed to pay $24.5 million to settle claims arising from the suspension of Donald Trump's YouTube account after the January 6, 2021 attack. The company will contribute $22 million to the Trust for the National Mall to support construction of the White House State Ballroom and pay $2.5 million to settle claims with additional plaintiffs including the American Conservative Union and Naomi Wolf. The settlement includes no admission of wrongdoing and leads to dismissal of the case in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Other platforms reached similar settlements: Meta $25 million and X $10 million.
