"Vilma told the president the Fox team had been trying to look up his stats when he played tight end at New York Military Academy in the late '50s and early '60s a comment that drew a swift oh no from Trump. Vilma then asked how many TDs Trump scored back in the day and floated the possibility the commander-in-chief had about 6 or 7 of them. I'm not sure I had any, Trump responded, which got a laugh from both announcers."
"That's a long time ago. He then got a few more chuckles when he quipped: At least you realize that I never tell a lie, right? The Fox crew included a picture of Trump's high school team showing the president wearing a number 85 jersey as he reminisced. There may have been a good reason for the president's lack of production, though."
President Donald Trump joined Kenny Albert and Jonathan Vilma in the Fox Commanders-Lions broadcast booth and was asked about his high school football record. Vilma mentioned attempts to look up Trump's stats from New York Military Academy in the late '50s and early '60s, and suggested Trump might have had six or seven touchdowns. Trump said he was not sure he had any and joked about never lying. The broadcast included a photo of Trump wearing number 85 and he noted his quarterback's weak arm. The visit followed a flyover and a loud booing during a military swearing-in.
