"Too many Americans are afraid of what their own government is doing to them, instead of confident it's working for them. That's why I'm running for Congress,"
"I will fight to make our Virginia communities more affordable, protect our rights, and build a government that actually works for you. I intend to deliver an accessible, inclusive American Dream, ensuring that Virginia remains diverse, safe and economically vibrant for all,"
"It was like watching a hurricane form from far offshore, and you're just wondering where exactly is it going to hit, how intense is it going to be,"
Bree Fram is a 46-year-old, 23-year veteran of the Space Force who was forcibly separated in December under the Defense Department's transgender ban. Fram was promoted to colonel in 2024 and was the highest-ranking transgender service member at that time. Fram was placed on administrative leave in June pending separation and likened the policy's rollout to watching an approaching hurricane. Fram is running for Virginia's 11th Congressional District with priorities to make communities more affordable, protect civil rights, and build a government that works for residents. Fram pledged to help thousands of transgender service members navigate separations and described the ban as vilifying trans troops.
