Halligan oversaw an indictment of Comey on charges of obstruction and lying to Congress. Trump expressed hope for additional indictments. The Comey indictment represents a rare legal victory for Trump after multiple failed attempts to use courts against opponents, including a dismissed defamation suit against the New York Times and an unsuccessful 2022 lawsuit against Hillary Clinton.
