Donald Trump describes his relationship with Elon Musk as good and says they have spoken "on and off, a little bit" since meeting at Charlie Kirk's memorial. Trump called Musk's earlier public feud a "bad spell" and a "stupid moment" in his life, while affirming continued personal regard. The feud began in June over Musk's opposition to the "Big Beautiful Bill" and followed Musk's departure after leading the DOGE effort. Musk has largely reduced public criticism of Trump since the summer but continues to criticize members of the administration, most recently clashing with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy over NASA leadership.
