Tim Walz and other Democratic leaders were called to cooperate with the administration to rapidly remove criminal undocumented immigrants and to avoid encouraging leftwing agitators to obstruct ICE and Border Patrol operations. The message connected Democrat-backed chaos to two recent deaths, naming Alex Pretti and Renee Good, and presented a multi-step enforcement plan. The plan called for state and local authorities to transfer incarcerated criminal undocumented immigrants and those with active warrants to federal custody for immediate deportation, require local police to turn over arrested undocumented immigrants, and assist federal agents in apprehending and detaining wanted noncitizens.
