Trump confirms it: Sean 'Diddy' Combs has asked for a pardon in prostitution case
""I call him Puff Daddy, he's asked me for a pardon," President Trump told reporters on Monday."
""I have a lot of people asking for pardons," Trump said Monday as reporters pressed him about whether he will pardon Ghislaine Maxwell, the imprisoned former girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein."
""It's my understanding that we've reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon," attorney Nicole Westmoreland told the outlet at the time."
President Trump stated that Sean 'Diddy' Combs asked him for a pardon and that many people request pardons. Combs was convicted in July on two prostitution-related federal charges and was cleared of racketeering and sex trafficking counts. Combs was sentenced to more than four years in federal prison. CNN reported that Combs' legal team had contacted the Trump administration about a pardon, with attorney Nicole Westmoreland saying conversations had occurred, while another lead attorney later disputed that claim. A representative for Combs did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
