The Trump administration plans to federalize 300 members of the Illinois National Guard, according to Gov. JB Pritzker. The administration reportedly gave an ultimatum that the governor should call up the troops or the federal government would do so. Federal agents and protesters clashed at the Broadview Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility, resulting in at least five arrests on charges including resisting, obstruction and aggravated battery to an officer. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino were seen on the ICE facility roof with armed agents and a production crew. Cook County sheriff's officers prevented demonstrators from blocking a street during a tense standoff.
