Nearly one-third of respondents expected positive effects from President Trump's tax provisions, about 13% anticipated negative effects, and 22% were unsure. Businesses expecting benefits planned to increase capital spending, raise employee wages, and pay down debt. The combined share of workers either fully remote or hybrid almost quadrupled since February 2020. As of September, 15% of workers were fully remote and nearly 17% were hybrid. Several Texas executives expressed reservations about remote work, citing loss of informal interactions and weakened personal connections.
