Open Plans released a report showing soaring vehicle miles traveled. Andy Byford made an industry appearance noted for his White House connection. A Jamaica man died after a hit-and-run. Critics called a New York Times piece on "Strip" search flawed. Officials vowed action after federal agents raided Lower Manhattan and arrested nine men.
