Mascott praised the Dobbs decision and said Roe belonged in the dustbin of history, and defended the court's decision regarding the Texas bounty-hunter abortion ban. The confirmation vote was 50-47. Emil Bove's elevation also proceeded despite whistleblower complaints and objections from roughly 900 former DOJ attorneys, contributing to a more conservative Third Circuit.
