The World Is Progressing and Making Men's Lives Challenging
"Psychologists suggest that men-particularly white men, who historically did not face these challenges-are profoundly maladjusted to the highly multicultural society we live in today. Recent statistics suggest that white adult males are not doing well with the many challenging societal perils. Their frustration was on display during the last presidential election, with a significant shift in how young white men voted."
"Although white adult males (over 18 years) make up only about 20 percent of the U.S. population, according to FBI-DOJ statistics last year, white adult males make up 55 percent of kidnappers in prison, 58 percent of the rapists, 58 percent of mass shooters, 59 percent of child porn arrests, 62 percent of pedophiles, 63 percent of prostitution solicitors and 75 percent of incest perpetrators."
White males comprise about 29 percent of the U.S. population, with roughly 20 percent of the white male population being adults. Only about half of adult males are married; about 60 percent of white young men ages 18 to 29 are single compared with 34 percent of women in the same group. Nearly half of men in their 20s still live with parents. Ninety-four percent of prison inmates are male. White adult males, about 20 percent of the population, account for disproportionate shares of kidnappers, rapists, mass shooters, child porn arrests, pedophiles, prostitution solicitors, and incest perpetrators. Psychologists link behaviors to disappointment, disillusionment, frustration, and shifting socioeconomic rewards favoring cognitive skills.
