Alina Habba, an ally of Donald Trump, was appointed interim U.S. attorney in New Jersey but was dismissed by Attorney General Pam Bondi due to political tensions. Habba previously represented Trump in a failed racketeering lawsuit against Democratic politicians, which a judge dismissed, citing it as a political grievance masquerading as legal claims. Despite the sanctions inflicted for her legal approach, Habba attempted to refile the suit using evidence from the Durham Report, which failed to change the previous judicial rulings against her.
Attorney General Pam Bondi stated that Alina Habba, previously Trump's personal lawyer, was doing a great job making NJ safe again. However, politically minded judges refused to allow her to continue in her position.
The last time Alina Habba had surfaced in public, she was fronting for the president in a ludicrous lawsuit that charged Hillary Clinton and other Democratic politicians with racketeering.
The presiding judge in the lawsuit against Clinton commented that the claims were political grievances masquerading as legal claims. This was not due to incompetent lawyering, but rather a deliberate use of judicial systems for political agendas.
Despite the sanctions, Habba refiled the suit, incorporating evidence from John Durham's investigation. This did not alter the previous legal conclusions made dismissing the lawsuit.
