Steve Bannon accused CIA Director John Ratcliffe and the CIA of lying to Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, who receives three daily CIA briefings. Bannon alleged intelligence presented to Witkoff reflected Israeli positions and attributed quoted positions to Mossad and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Bannon demanded Ratcliffe's resignation or a congressional hearing and accused Ratcliffe of lying to the president about the start of the 12-day war, citing published Israeli War Cabinet minutes. Bannon has grown increasingly critical of Israel, called for a Fox News investigation, and characterized Israel as a protectorate rather than an ally, accusing Netanyahu's government of harming Jewish communities globally.
