Thames Valley Police sent an officer to Deborah Anderson's home in June concerning allegedly upsetting or threatening social media posts. Video footage shows the officer entering the house and telling Anderson she was accused of upsetting a person over an alleged threatening post. The officer told Anderson she could apologise or he would arrange an interview, usually conducted under caution. Anderson is a US citizen, a mother of two, a staunch Donald Trump supporter, and is undergoing chemotherapy. The Free Speech Union intervened, called the visit chilling, criticised police conduct and questioned whether political support prompted the visit.
