Apparently the stress of this workload is affecting how he works with fellow administration members, like Bill Pulte, Trump's housing finance chief, who Bessent threatened to punch in his "fucking face," per Politico."

Pulte looked surprised, according to the sources who spoke to Politico. As people started to pay attention, club co-owner Omeed Malik got between them to try to cool the Treasury secretary down. Bessent wanted Pulte out of there."
Scott Bessent, Treasury secretary, threatened to punch Bill Pulte, the administration's housing finance chief, during an inaugural dinner at the Executive Branch club after learning that FHFA staffers had been telling President Trump negative things about him. Bessent shouted profanities, told Pulte, "I'm gonna punch you in your fucking face," and urged club co-owner Omeed Malik to eject Pulte, saying "It's either me or him." Malik intervened and separated the men, seating them at opposite ends of the table. The episode followed an earlier heated confrontation in the White House in which Bessent reportedly shouted "Fuck you" at Elon Musk.
